I truly love having my daughter accompanying me while on photoshoots. Lillian is very gentle and warm to all animals and becomes their friend instantly. She helps me by positioning the animal in a certain spot and dangles toys above the camera so I can get a good shot. Also, she helps by setting up props and costumes. The most important thing that we both do is not rush the animal. We want them to feel comfortable with us in their space. Once this is established so many beautiful photos are taken. It's just capturing them in the moment .
I love to capture the moment ! My style of photography is called Lifestyle Photography and it's a concept of trying to capture emotion, personality, details, in a non pose organic way.
So for portraits of cats, kittens, dogs, or horses, it just taking the time to capture the natural movement or play of the animal.
If you have a lifestyle shoot with your pet which includes your family I will give direction but not pose your family. I want you to interact with your pet organically. I want to capture you walking, playing, smiling, and laughing with your best friend. I want you to look at these pictures and smile and see your beautiful relationship.
